Friday is another big night at Minnich Field. The 2024 State Championship team will be honored at 6:30 by Representative Matt Lehman. The 2000 State Championship team will be honored at halftime. The middle school band will be featured with the high school band. Come out for a great game and support our Jets!
In preparation for their upcoming JA BizTown field trip, 5th grade held their mayor elections on Monday. Four students gave speeches before students had the opportunity to vote for their candidate. Congrats to Tyson Killion for being elected as the 2025 Adams Central JA BizTown Mayor!
Following an extensive search for the next superintendent that included collecting input from the community and staff, the Board believes Mr. McClure is the right person to lead Adams Central and serve as the district’s new superintendent.
With over 28 years of experience in public education, Mr. Mclure is a native of Adams County and a graduate of Adams Central. “Mr. McClure's dedication to student success, proven leadership skills, and deep appreciation of our school's culture led us to this decision.”
Per Indiana Code, Mr. McClure's proposed contract will be available for public review on the district’s website, and the required public meeting is scheduled for the next board meeting on October 14. A complete transition timeline will be shared following the official vote to approve the slated candidate.
In addition to enjoying the music, guests will have the opportunity to be introduced to the band members and directors after the show. This is a wonderful chance to learn about the creative process behind the performance.
There is a 2nd public hearing board meeting to discuss and hear from the public regarding proposed renovation and improvements to facilities throughout the School Corporation, including site improvements and the purchase of buses, equipment, and technology. The meeting is on Tuesday, September 23, at 7:00 pm in Room M-1 (across from the middle/high school office).
