Traffic Route Changing for MSHS Drop-off and Pick-up

Starting on January 4, when we return from Christmas break, the middle/high school morning drop off and afternoon pick up location will be moved to door E1 on the east side of Adams Central.  The move to this new traffic pattern is to increase the safety of student drivers, car riders, and improve the flow of traffic during the morning and afternoon drop off and pick up times.

To drop off students and pick them up, drivers will enter the Adams Central campus from Polk Street onto the drive between the County Highway Garage and the 4-H Fairgrounds.  Drivers will continue down the drive and turn left (south) at the building and drive through the parking lot.  Drivers will drop off students at door E1 and exit the Adams Central campus through the alley between the bank and 4H dining hall.  Drivers will then exit the alley onto Polk Street by the deli.  The East Drive/Park Street and the alley will be one-way from 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. (8:45 a.m. on Wednesdays) and from 2:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

High school drivers and the elementary car line will continue with the same route they have been using all year by entering the Adams Central campus from Polk St. by Strick.

Students arriving before 7:30am need to enter through by the superintendent's office entrance and wait between the double doors until 7:30am.

Students who are picked up and dropped off during the school day will still enter the MSHS by the playground, as they will need to sign in and out at the office.
