Lilly Scholarship

The opening of the Lilly Scholarship signals the start of a very busy fall for those students who are college bound.  Some of you have noticed the Lilly application opened on July 1.  Some of you have been working on it.

Applications will need to be completed by Wednesday, September 8, 2021, by 4:00pm to the Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) office in Decatur.  Deadlines are deadlines!

For the second year, the Lilly Scholarship will NOT be collecting SAT/ACT scores due to missed opportunities to test because of COVID. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.8.  Students will use their current 6-semester, junior transcript for this application.

The application is attached and more information can be found at:

https://www.adamscountyfoundation.org/scholarship-info/scholarship-applications

If your student starts working on the application, they will need to rename their application each time they save it.  Spelling, grammar, etc. will be counted against you! If your essays will not fit into the text box, you can cut and tape your essay into the space.  Then photocopy that page.  Make sure to follow all directions very carefully!! Ask people now to write you letters of recommendation!

We will talk about the other Adams Central Scholarships & Adams County Community Foundation Scholarships as those deadlines get closer (January 18, 2022). Everyone applying for the Lilly, all other ACCF scholarships, and AC Scholarships will use the same application. More information will be sent out closer to the due date.  Students applying for the Lilly do not have to make updates or change their applications unless they want to make changes for that January deadline.

Please let Mrs. Workinger know if you have any questions or concerns.  Feel free to email the ACCF as well.  They can be reached at scholarships@adamscountyfoundation.org
